We had an American film crew down claiming that Gandy Street was the road JK Rowling based Diagon Alley on in her Harry Potter books ... and that the Cavern (or Hop & Grapes as it was called then) was the place she based The Thirsty Cauldron pub on!
Don't worry I'm not going to turn the place into a Harry Potter theme bar, but here's a photo of Harry And The Potters playing live at the Cavern a couple of years ago.
